Professor of the College for Tourism and Management Konjic, Dr. Zrinka Bauer, participated in the international scientific conference “Forests of the Future: Research and Forest Management in an Era of Change”, held from 17–20 September 2026 at Plitvice Lakes, Croatia.
At the conference, Dr. Bauer presented the paper “WildFood Zones: A Spatial Planning Framework Linking Non-Wood Forest Products and Gastronomy Tourism in Karst Geoparks”, focusing on the links between spatial planning, non-wood forest products, gastronomy tourism and the development of karst geoparks.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for the exchange of scientific knowledge and research ideas, as well as for meeting researchers and professionals from different fields and establishing new contacts for future cooperation.
Special thanks go to Prof. Stjepan Mikac, Chair of the Organising Committee, for the excellent organisation, professional approach and welcoming environment for scientific dialogue and exchange.
The participation of our professors in international scientific conferences strengthens the international visibility of VSTIM Konjic, opens new opportunities for research cooperation and connects the knowledge developed at our institution with contemporary European discussions on sustainable tourism, spatial planning, natural resources and sustainable territorial development.
Profesorica Visoke škole za turizam i menadžment Konjic, dr. sc. Zrinka Bauer, učestvovala je na međunarodnoj znanstvenoj konferenciji „Forests of the Future: Research and Forest Management in an Era of Change“, održanoj od 17. do 20. septembra 2026. godine na Plitvičkim jezerima u Hrvatskoj.
Na konferenciji je predstavila rad „WildFood Zones: A Spatial Planning Framework Linking Non-Wood Forest Products and Gastronomy Tourism in Karst Geoparks“, usmjeren na povezivanje prostornog planiranja, nedrvnih šumskih proizvoda, gastronomskog turizma i razvoja krških geoparkova.
Konferencija je bila vrijedna prilika za razmjenu znanstvenih saznanja i istraživačkih ideja, susrete s istraživačima i stručnjacima iz različitih oblasti te uspostavljanje novih kontakata za buduću saradnju.
Posebnu zahvalnost upućujemo prof. Stjepanu Mikcu, predsjedniku Organizacijskog odbora, na izvrsnoj organizaciji, profesionalnom pristupu i stvaranju poticajnog okruženja za znanstveni dijalog i razmjenu iskustava.
Učešće naših profesorica na međunarodnim znanstvenim konferencijama doprinosi međunarodnoj vidljivosti VSTIM Konjic, otvara nove mogućnosti istraživačke saradnje i povezuje znanje koje razvijamo na našoj Visokoj školi sa savremenim evropskim temama održivog turizma, prostornog planiranja, prirodnih resursa i održivog teritorijalnog razvoja.
